Vera Robinson's Vision For Fulford Village

Vera’s Vision Of  Fulford (roughly.....)

§         For the community and environment the ferry terminal needs to be able to hold: 110 cars (Skeena’s capacity) + 16 crew parking spaces + pick-up / drop-off area.

I suggest expansion into the harbor (south direction) including the existing government dock*.
While waiting within compound drivers will turn engines off and relax,
safer roads, passengers more inclined to leave vehicles and go shopping.

*If government dock is needed relocate in front of Shell property.

§         Hopefully Shell property will be donated to community. I see a nicely landscaped public area – village square with small play ground.

§
Old Fulford core designated heritage site to preserve its character/feel, lay-out and vegetation. (from corner of Beaver Pt. Rd / Fulford-Ganges / Morningside to foot of Sunnyside Dr.)

§         2 way cycle / walkway path linking Fulford Hall, Drummond Park, the Inn with Old Fulford

§         Somewhere between Hall and Old Fulford affordable bungalow style row housing for 55+ unassisted living.
§
Encourage affordable year around rental for families through tax break or other incentives*. Individual housing better suited for rural character of island in particular for southern farming community.
§
*Added density in exchange of 5 acres (min.) covenant of ecological sensitive   &/or beautiful land area to be left untouched or minimally managed by owner for set number of years (20, 50, 100).

§         Near Fulford Hall / Inn an area for indoor / outdoor farmer’s market

§         Small Healthcare Center

§         Join Sunnyside Dr. & Southridge Dr.

§         Many speed bumps on Morningside & Sunnyside Drives
