Proposed Meeting Themes/Schedule and Format

The Fulford Study Group will hold its first public meeting on Thursday, February 28th. These meetings will be held from 3:00 (1500) to 5:00 pm (1700) every Thursday until April 4th. The meetings will be held at Fulford Hall's Old Age Pensioner's (OAP) room.

Proposed Meeting Themes/Schedule
  1. 28 February - Understanding the Historical Geography of Fulford
  2. 6 March - Understanding the Natural Environment
  3. 13 March - Understanding the Built Environment
  4. 20 March - Understanding the Service Environment
  5. 27 March - Assumptions/Recommendations Document Review
  6. 29 March - Fulford Study Group Open Houses (to be confirmed)
  7. 3 April - Final Review of Assumptions/Recommendations Document
Proposed Meeting Format
Each meeting will follow a similar format. The basic components are listed below:
  • Fulford Study Group administration/housekeeping
  • Presentation of draft Assumptions/Recommendations document (each week after 28 Feb)
  • Delegation(s) to the Study Group
  • Invited Guest speaker(s)
  • Q&A for Speaker (FSG and persons attending)
  • Discussion on thematic questions, i.e. Where is Fulford?
  • Discussion on thematically related pieces of existing OCP that require amendment and policy proposals made in the first round of OCP renewal
  • Next Steps (e.g. There may be a need to strike a committee/get info from Trustee or staffer to look into a specific issue)
  • Adjournment
